COMSCC Palmer May 30-31 has been postponed

Hi Folks,

Due to the continued shut down and mandates by state and local authorities, our BoD has decided to postpone our event at Palmer Motorsports Park that was scheduled for May 30-31. We are working with PMP to reschedule this event for later in the season. Stay tuned for more details. For now, there will be no further changes to the schedule with regard to the remaining events.

As with the test day and NHMS 1, those participants that have registered for the event will have their CC charges refunded (including dues you may have paid….so you may have to re-up the next time you register for an event). Participants who used previously issued credits will have those credits carried forward.

While we are on the subject of credits – COM shall extend all current credits a full year longer and these will be retained through all of 2021.

So far, 2020 has been about facing some serious challenges. A number of our members are medical professionals who are fighting for the lives for those under their care every day, while doing everything they can to keep themselves and their families safe from contamination. Please keep them in your thoughts, and if you have the means, please donate to your locally organized efforts however you can. We have many members with essential jobs that have been quietly keeping things moving forward while still assuming risk. Do what you can to keep them working. For some of us, it truly has been interesting to see just how much actual work can take place from home for the bulk of other industries and technologies in the area. Online meetings have become a critical component in how things get done. Lastly, please remember that while some of us have been fortunate enough to retain employment, there have been a number that have been furloughed or laid off. If you are a business owner and are searching for new employees, please reach out on our forum and see if a fellow member that is unemployed is a fit for your needs. In short, let’s take care of each other.

Eventually, COM will be back on the track and better than ever once we are out of the woods with this thing. That is a promise. There will be more news to follow very soon.

Until then, keep fighting the good fight,

Troy Velazquez – President
