Welcome to the 2017 Season!

COMSCC Members,

The 2017 season will be upon us soon!  Your newly elected board of directors has been hard at work in the off season. Our commitment is to help transition the club to a leaner, more modern operation that continues to maximize value for our members, while maintaining strong relationships with our partners at the tracks we visit. We will be announcing some changes and new initiatives in the weeks and months to follow, but our commitment to the traditions of COMSCC, now in its 59th year, remain strong. There are so many things to talk about, but here are some of the bullets…

  • Our revised rule set will be available in early March, and I’m pleased to report that there are not many changes from the 2016 rules. Members will receive an email when the rules are posted.
  • For 2017, we will launch a new program which offers advanced instruction/coaching meant solely for our TT license holders. I am really excited about this program and the value it offers to our licensed competitors. Stay tuned…
  • We will strive to keep our members informed via steady communications on our website, social media outlets, MSR, and perhaps even a new mobile app. More on that as it develops. You will notice a bit more engagement in general from the officers and board members at events.
  • The 2017 schedule has been posted. As usual, the board is working hard to make sure that we set the most competitive pricing in the region.

2017 is going to be a fantastic year for COMSCC, and I’m really excited to be a part of it! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or any one of the board members. Contact info is on the web page.

See you at Thompson in April,

Troy Velazquez  –   President, COM Sports Car Club
