small track day tire/tools trailer?

I'm contemplating putting a small hitch on the FD so I can tow track day tires, tools, jack to the track. Figured I would tap the COM collective before doing an interwebz search :)

Any good somewhat readymade options out there?

Re: Rules Change Proposals

I sent an email to Nick and he said he had already put together a similar proposal. Was gonna go ahead and submit mine as well but then forgot about it

Anyway, how did it go last night?

Re: Rules Change Proposals

I have a proposed rule change on tire sizes, before I submit it, do I include the rationale in the lower box in the form for "New Rule Text"?

Great NHMS4 thanks to Mark, Mark, Nick, Mark, and Marc!

First I didn't book a room early enough and wound up staying in Manchester (dang). Then Saturday AM at the Gulf station near the track where I filled up with 93-octane I spilled about a half gallon of coffee on my passenger seat and helmet (shite!). Then leaving the parking lot of said Gulf station ...

Great pics of my "never-take-the-same-line/apex-what-apex" approach to turn 6/the bowl!

Re: considering 996 for daily/backup track car

all I'm going to say is you have never driven a 996 in the winter weather have you . the motor being in the rear like a bug in no way give them the traction like a bug as the tires are so wide even a dusting of snow they climb right on top of it . I've driven through every winter since 2007 in the ...

Re: considering 996 for daily/backup track car

Hi Dan; I have owned several 996s, The engine problem is a real serious one , when the shaft bearing lets go the whole motor is junk and not rebuild-able. I had a 2002 2wheel drive non S model blow up at 40K--$15,000 for a new motor and Porsche won't help even though they know they have a problem. ...

Re: considering 996 for daily/backup track car

if it were me I would do a 996 AWD . yes they do have some weight to them but they do not feel like a heavy car when your driving it . Meh, no need for awd as far as I'm concerned. 2wd with 62% of the weight on the drive wheels should be no prob this winter :) the running cost will be twice of what...

Re: considering 996 for daily/backup track car

How about a hard top for the S2000? I Googled it and found this… http://www.carid.com/2004-honda-s2000-body-kits/duraflex-body-kit-1221153.html?gclid=CjwKEAjw1ZWgBRD-n6ew0oan1xwSJABAbf8pxwKfJ0bq66tIL5TtLb8Rw7x33I8CtL4tjBQGcEhtgBoCCcDw_wcB Those aren't so hot, apparently. Only hardtop I'd consider w...

considering 996 for daily/backup track car

I'm thinking of replacing the s2000 with something a little quieter for my 120-mile/day commute. S2k is one of my fave modern cars ever, but the wind noise is fatiguing and is I think giving me permanent ringing in my ears :( I'd like to get a quieter fixed-roof sports car, and the 996 seems like it...

Re: what did you think ???

Oddly found the 500hp/2900 lb. rx7 easier to drive in the wet! Only ran three dry sessions but was really starting to have fun with it and throw it around like the old 240Z days 2nd practice on Tuesday :) But then drove straight off the track going into turn 1 during my time trial. Going in at 140 p...

Oopsie, I unintentionally registered the S2000 as SSA. Should be T50. I just now updated my profile.
