Re: Harness for Passenger

Personally I’d buy matching belts, so 2” for both sides. You can send a note to Cheif instructor after registering that you request an instructor who wears a Hans that works with 2” belts. Just takes a bit of communication prior to the event and instructor assignments. I remember when I started as a...

You are missing this point which covers the camber plate - camber gain advantage. - Paul G.

Re: 2021 T50 suspension rules question

I looked again; the chart in the rule and excel sheet says nothing about modified knuckles / hubs.
I think you are fine there. Taking the (1) point for modified alignment settings covers it and the camber plates in my opinion. - Paul G.

Re: 2021 T50 suspension rules question

Looks like 5 points. 1 point for aftermarket 0- or 1-way shocks/struts (line 10) 3 points for springs and height-adjustable coilovers (line 15) 1 point for camber plates which allow alignment beyond factory capability (line 27) Line 27 also should cover any different geometry nuances with steering ...

You always have cool cars that we (me) never get to see.

Re: 2021 classing sheet?

I'm no help here, but I wanted to point out that the current excel file does not work when I open it with my Excel app on an Ipad. I think it is the macros but not sure. If we are going to try to make any changes that would also be nice so a Laptop would not be required to view/edit the sheet.

Re: Returning to COMSCC

So I am taking a hard look at a single seater like a spec racer. I know a few people used to run formula cars in the past. I am looking at something closed wheel and a little slower. It seems that I would have to run a 2 seater to regain my license. For that I could run my GTI this year. But is the...

Re: Aim Solo says low battery

Nope, not that I know of. Just keep it plugged in for a while then power it up and see what the battery indicator says. I’m curious what you find out. Mine is pretty old and I usually just power it through the car outlet when using it too. I wonder if many of us will be in a similar situation as you...

Re: Aim Solo says low battery

Thanks Jeff. Does the unit charge by being plugged in with the 12v cord or is there a specific charger unit? Its been so long since I bought it I can't remember seeing a separate charging accessory. There should be a wall plug adaptor that goes on the end of the cable you would use to plug it into ...

Re: F150 3.5 Eco Boost. Is it enough...

I’m no expert. Towed once and just purchased a new truck. But its not all about weight towed and engine power as far as I can tell. If you are talking about towing an open car trailer it will do just fine. I towed a steel open trailer with 2600 lb car with my 5.7l Ram with 3:21s and 4WD. My Max Tow ...

Re: Route to VIR

There are some directions indicated on our website as part of the track guides: https://www.comscc.org/events/track-information/vir/
I'm not sure how old that info is.
