Re: mx5 cup suspension

You need to take the appropriate points for: Shocks Springs Sway Bars Offset bushing (if using them, my MX5 has mazda competition bushing that go in the spindle). https://www.mazdamotorsports.com/2019/04/24/parts-spotlight-nc-offset-bushings/ So you are looking at 4-6 points for suspension I think. ...

Re: Hoosier A7 vs A7 question

A7 provides very quick lap(s) during a TT if weather, track temp, and driver don’t over heat them.
I think most who use them say the A7 will provide a quicker lap when conditions work out.

That’s what they are more points.

Re: Different kind of tire thread

General Altimax Arctic would be my top "budget" choice. A little noisy but grip in the snow and on ice is on par with the knobby Blizzaks, at a fraction of the price. This is what I run on both my Subaru’s, and I go down an inch in rim size and get a taller sidewall. So they don’t feel “performance...

Dans Autobody next to Fastrack in Peabody Ma does great work. They painted Scott’s BMW and repaired Troys car. Be worth discussing with them. Dan runs an S2000 with the club.

Re: First track tires

You are going to have uneven wear due to lack of camber on any tire, especially with only -1 degree.
Don’t let that steer your tire choice unless you consider lowest cost.

Re: First track tires

I only ran my RE71s for one event. Maybe if I gave them a few more sessions they would have closed the gap a bit. I also think if they were a wider width and wider rim (they were mounted on 17x7 facorty mx5 rims) they would have worked better. The NT01s for the 1:52s were more used, 225s on 17x9, an...
