G-Force customer service is awesome

Hi all, wanted to share a positive customer service experience. I have a lot of difficulty finding gloves. It's a life-long problem. I also have a friend bugging me to do LeMons. So I started emailing the usual suspects (Sparco, Simpson, Alpinestars, RaceQuip, Winding Road, ...) to see if I could fi...

Re: 2017 Honda Civic Type R

If your tires aren't specifically listed, use the UTQG number (and tire section) to assess points. If they are listed then use that entry. For weight, you can make a reasonable guess at how much your competition weight exceeds your curb weight by adding your weight and 6 lbs/gallon of fuel. Better t...

Re: 2017 Honda Civic Type R

That's how the classing works out for all cars. The showroom assessment assumes certain tire section (by class) and compound (zero-point for all cars), and the curb-weight. Because not all gas tanks are full, and not all COMers weigh the same, we also adjust weight. Near-stock cars on street tires w...

Re: 2017 Honda Civic Type R

The car you are questioning is probably a few 100 lbs over curb weight (so neg points back), and might also be on a tire that gives some points back. So if it was a base assessment of low 70 points, it could be high 60s in points depending on setup. Stock it comes with 245 Conti SportContact 6 (UTQ...

Cool project. Hope we don't have to wait 8 years to see it on track!

Jokes on him, all he did was reduce the filming car's drag!

Also, arm restraints?

 The one handed driving with the hand resting on the shifter....ahhhh stop it!

He seemed to be taking the line on 11A correctly until this Dan character was with him, which he then decided to stay almost half a track out?
There's a lot to unpack in that video for sure.

Fair enough. Let's see how many members share data once the space is up, and go from there.

Re: Club data log share?

Hosting our own storage has a lot of advantages, but making a single person responsible for posting the data to the drive feels like a bottleneck that maybe doesn't need to be there. I agree that Aim is the most popular in the garages, but it's a barrier for students. I remember when I was starting ...

Any interest in looking at the Track Attack option with me? Has anyone tried it? Seems like it's built to solve this problem.

Re: Club data log share?

I presume that the competition folder with class sheets is part of that drive? I don't think regular users can see the rest of the drive. How about a structure with a directory for each track, then ask users to upload their data in a subdirectory labeled with <Class> - <Date> - <Number> - <Name>? Si...

Re: Club data log share?

I like this idea. I'm pretty new to data collection - even newer to data analysis. I've had some great sessions with a couple of club members and am definitely interested in doing more. If most folks are on AiM then RaceStudio might be enough. If we're trying to bridge across systems we might try th...
