Re: Next year's schedule

I think one of the ways for us to make it more appealing to members to take the time and expense to travel to places like Tremblant, is to make the event more of a destination for families, which many of us have. Basically, us drivers get to do something we love, but there is almost zero incentive f...

Re: Dynojet chassis dyno

Thank Shai Hulud you don't need an AWD dynojet; the nearest one is on Long Island! http://dynojet.com/dynocenters/dynojet-automotive-dyno-centers.aspx?Address=New+Hampshire%2c+USA&usa_distance=150 I went through this list to find an AWD one, and it was hit or miss. Just a lot of calls to find a place.

Re: 2017 Honda Civic Type R

My guess would be a base class of T70, not sure if the rules alias got back to you but I'd think that's a good fit for the car.

Re: Different kind of tire thread

In my experience, nothing beats the Hakkas. I ran them on years back on my STI, and that car was unstoppable. I've since run Dunlops, Pirellis and Bridgestones. I liked the Pirellis in the dry, but they weren't great in snow. Dunlop and Bridgestones were better in snow, but not so great in the dry.

Thompson assistance - many thanks

I juts wanted to drop a public note of thanks to a bunch of folks who lent me a hand over the past event. Rodney Carriere and Matt Daniels, for the lickety split loan/hijacking of Matt's truck, so that I could take my trailer and retrieve my stranded wife, daughter and disabled tow vehicle. Scott Ro...

Re: Planning Tremblant

Not sure if you're a golfer, but there are some great golf courses in the immediate area. There's also a terrible go-kart track nearby, a Luge on the ski mountain, biking and hiking trails, and a lot of fun places to eat and drink. We (my wife and 2 little ones) are up there for the week also, and w...

Re: Chip/performance tune Acura 2.4L

Hondata KPro and a trip to Xenocron Tuning. They are about 20 minutes past the Tappan Zee Bridge, a bit of a hike for you but certainly doable in a day.

Re: Annual Awards Banquet and Kart Rental 1/27/18

Kudos to The Club for arranging what was a very fun banquet. It's been 10 or 12 years since I've been able to attend, and it was a far cry from watching camcorder videos of hot laps in someone's hotel room prior to snooze-fest awards. The racing was fun, and I can't say the track was very strict abo...

Re: Do 2018 rule changes reset all track records?

Once the rest of the club get a chance to review the rules, I am sure we will have some more fruitful discussion. From my perspective, which is mostly worthless, something like a repave/reconfiguration of a track, or the release of an entirely new set of classes is pretty easy to justify a change in...
