Re: Video Thread - Palmer clockwise (Remlap)

I made some early mistakes on the 2nd lap, so I backed off to save tire temp for the third one (and I knew the first lap was decent). I don't know if this is good strategy or not, this was my first TT. The advice I always give for time trials – Don't think about laps. Execute each corner to the bes...

Very nice! What tires were you on? I'm really interested in what min speeds people are seeing.

Re: A new section for 1 lap video pointers?

I started a thread for Palmer Remlap
https://www.comscc.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6114

If these threads (per track) get traction I can create a new forum for video threads only

Re: 2021 classing sheet?

You could try LibreOffice, which is a free open source alternative to MS Office.
https://www.libreoffice.org/

I haven't tried editing the classing sheets with it, but it should work. You'll probably just have to loosen the default security settings to allow the Excel macros to run.

Re: A new section for 1 lap video pointers?

Good idea. To start it would be simple enough to post your videos to YouTube and start a discussion thread for each track. If it gains traction then we could find ways to organize it better. Also, in case people aren't aware, there is a section on the website with track guides for some tracks. https...

Re: best compact lightweight Al floor jack for track?

I have a US General 1.5 ton jack that I got from Harbor Freight like 15 years ago, it's light and has held up great. I think the equivalent is this one by Pittsburgh. It looks exactly the same except for the branding. https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive/jacks-jack-stands/floor-jacks/15-ton-alum...

Re: Harness Mounting

If you can move them to the seat bolts it might be better. Hard to say without seeing what you have.

Re: Harness Mounting

That sounds like it will be ok. Are the lap belt mounts connected to the 17''ish mm seat bracket bolts, the ones that go into the floor?

If it's like the Solo2 it also can be charged via the USB port.
