We’ve posted an important message about helmet rules for 2011. Please read, especially if you plan on attending our NMJP event.

There is still time to submit rule change proposals for the 2011 season. The board will be reviewing submissions at the November 17th board meeting. If you submitted a proposal and feel strongly about it, we encourage you to attend the meeting to state your case. Submitted proposals and voting results can be found in the Forums.

The 2010 COMSCC Rule Book has been posted, download the current revision here. If you have any questions visit the rules area of our forums.

The results of the BOD rules meeting have been posted to our forums. Thanks to all of our members who have contributed to updating the rules for 2010.

Want to get a taste of COM by taking some hot laps around a race track?

The COM Hot Lap Ride-Along Program is intended for new or prospective members to participate in a hot lapping session on the race track with a COM instructor. Participants must be registered members of COM (which the $35 fee covers).

There were a few errors in the last version of the 2009 rulebook. These were mostly mid season changes that were made in 2008 but did not get carried over to the 2009 rule book.

We have fixed the errors and posted a new PDF. Please make sure your rulebook is the most resent version, currently Revision 3.

The 2009 rulebook has been posted.  Changes include:

• Looser restriction on wheel diameters in Showroom Stock (SS) to allow wheels of smaller diameter for cars delivered with wheels 17″ or greater
• Panhard bars are now allowed in Street Touring (ST) …we call that one the Dan Darcy special
• Are restraints can be substituted for window nets in Prepared (P)
• ..along with a few other clarifications of the language
